Position Title: Administrative Assistant (~ 25 hours/week)
Reports To: Executive Director

Organizational Summary:
The mission of the Women’s Resource Center (WRC) is to help women and girls successfully navigate life’s transitions and inspire others to do the same. By providing resources, tools and support for today, we create hope for tomorrow. Each year, WRC provides services and support for more than 2,400 women and girls during periods in instability and transition through the Helpline, Girls Leadership Program, Family Law Program, Single Moms’ Program, and Divorce Support services.

Position Summary: This part-time position is responsible for providing a variety of administrative and clerical tasks to support WRC’s operations, program services and fundraising initiatives. This position requires approximately 5 daily hours in the office, Monday-Friday.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answer and direct phone calls and emails; provide general reception to visitors
  • Organize/schedule meetings
  • Write/distribute emails, letters, faxes and forms
  • Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
  • Provide logistical support for the organization’s special events
  • Maintain and enhance organizational systems, policies and procedures
  • Order office supplies, research new vendors, coordinate printing projects
  • Provide logistical support for program registration process
  • Maintain contact and donor lists; prepare mailing lists and coordinate mailings
  • Maintain computerized donor database, including gift entry and generating fundraising reports
  • Perform bookkeeping duties: bank deposits, Quickbooks, invoice payment, credit card processing
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant or similar position
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • Working knowledge of basic office equipment: printers, copiers, fax
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, including mail merge tasks
  • Ability to work with databases and Quickbooks accounting system
  • Excellent time management and ability to prioritize work
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing needs and circumstances
  • Attention to details. Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • High school diploma or equivalent
