Neighborhood League Presents WRC with $14,000 Grant

On Wednesday, November 7th The Neighborhood League Shops of Wayne presented Women’s Resource Center with a $14,000 grant for their work in the community at WRC’s annual Advisory Council event at the Overbrook Golf Club. The check was presented by Neighborhood League members Carol Jane and Kym Lynch.

The Neighborhood League is a nonprofit nestled in Wayne. They specialize in sales of clothing,  jewelry, small furnishings, antiques, housewares, artwork, and collectibles. Their sales go directly to several local nonprofits, such as Women’s Resource Center. Their mission is to improve the quality of life in the community by providing funds to local nonprofits specializing in social services and health using money they raise from their sales. The shop opened in 1925 and has been promoting social justice issues ever since and raising grant money for the community. You can find out more about them on their website.

We want to thank The Neighborhood League for their generous grant and everyone who made our Advisory Council event such a success!
