
Kai Qualls has over twenty years of experience in direct service, with an emphasis on counseling, training, education and case management. Her interpersonal skills and management experience have developed over a career with depth and breadth of service. She recently completed her CCATP certification, and is now a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional. Kai has served as Director of Learner Support Services for I LEAD Charter School, she has been a caseworker with The Children’s Choice, a therapist/intern for Northwestern Human Services and a therapist with ABA Today. Kai has an undergraduate degree in Organizational Management and a Master’s in Counseling Psychology, both from Eastern University.
Highly attuned and adept at bringing clients to a place of well-being, Kai is perfect for her role at WRC, where she provides clinical supervision for WRC’s counselors and graduate counseling interns as well as individual, family and group counseling services. Her philosophy is client-centered, and her approach is personalized to each client’s strengths and needs. Kai is trained and knowledgeable in many modalities of therapy, including evidence-based therapeutic interventions based largely in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Theory (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).
