Mary Kate has been a Girls Lead Facilitator since 2017. She loves getting to know each new cohort of participants, seeing them grow as individuals and develop into strong, supportive teams each year. She feels particularly passionate about the program’s commitment to building on “untapped leadership potential,” as she sees participants’ confidence and self-assurance skyrocket over the course of just a few months.
In her full-time professional life, Mary Kate is the Associate Director at CASA Youth Advocates, Inc – a local non-profit serving children and youth involved in the child welfare and dependency court systems in Delaware and Chester counties. CASA has been her professional home since 2011.
Mary Kate received her Master in Social Services and her Master in Law and Social Policy from Bryn Mawr Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research in 2006. She also served two years with City Year, an AmeriCorps national service program.
